18 weeks out!

Ok ok sorry for taking such a long hiatus!  Lots have been going on and I finally have some time to write!

So as many of you may know I am back at competition prep this year for my provincials!  This is going to be an exciting year! I’ve gotten myself a new coach.  I love my old coach don’t get me wrong. She was absolutely amazing except this year she is having a baby and I didn’t want to bogged her down with the process of my bikini prep!  I’ve been working with my new coach since end of December and she’s just been getting me back into the routine of meal prepping and training.  Been busy making some new gains!

This prep has been different so far.  No fasted cardio so far and only 2-3 days of cardio per week so far.  Mostly focused on weight training to gain some more muscles and diet has been different so far. I was on a Macros diet and my daily target when I’m training is 150g Protein, 90g Carbs, 60g Fa t and for my non-training days my daily target is 150g Protein, 60g Carbs and 80g Fat.  My coach just recently added A LOT more food to my diet and I really ain’t complaining here because I’m eating more and I’m seeing and feeling the gains!  My training program has been amazing so far! I’m sore after every workout even now which means I’m pushing myself harder and getting in a good sweat!  I’m implementing a new technique called wave loading and I think I am in love!  I don’t think I can go back to working out the same way anymore after my coach taught me how to do this.

I am still in the “improvement phase” or “bulking phase” or “off season phase” however you want to call it. But I prefer to call it the Improvement phase because essentially I am improving my physique and trying to better it from my last competition since I took a hiatus this just means extra work for me!  That’s ok though because I am determined to beat my last physique and once I set my mind to something I usually achieve it!

Ok so this photo was back in November 2015

This is my current physique at 18 weeks out.
Lots of work to do but I am determined!
